South Store Supper Club “A Celebration of Spring”
Had enough winter? We have too, and no matter what the weather brings us over the next few weeks, the calendar says that March 20th will be the first day of spring. So, on Thursday, March 21st, we will be having another South Store Supper Club dinner to celebrate the arrival of the vernal equinox.
Celebrating the arrival of spring is important to cultures all over the world, and for several years now, many of our Persian customers have gathered here at the South Store Cafe for Nowruz, the Persian New Year, which is a celebration of the coming of spring. In recognition of the many Persian families that have made the South Store Cafe their favorite gathering spot, we will be incorporating the flavors of Persian cuisine into our spring dinner. Saffron, pomegranate, rose water, barberries, lamb. These are some of the ingredients that will be featured in the evening’s five course dinner.
The five-course dinner, with paired wines (or creative non-alcoholic beverages) begins at 6pm on Thursday, March 21st. Tickets are $125 per person, and the gratuity is included. Seats can be purchased at the cafe or over the phone.
