Full Time Dishwasher  [ $21 to $23 per hour (includes flex tips) ]

Job Description

We are seeking to hire a full-time dishwasher for 4-5 days a week, must have Saturday and Sunday availability. Requirements: The ideal applicant will have a passion for good food and will have restaurant kitchen and cleaning experience. Must be available to consistently work on 4-5 days a week including weekends, with some flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Help in making sure the kitchen is stocked, organized with dishes and utensils.
• Learn and be able to utilize our dishwashing machine and dish standards. 
• Uphold the cafes sanitation standards.

• Independently close the cafe after closing duties.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in commercial kitchen, or other related fields a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available to consistently work on Fridays, Saturdays.

• Must be able to stand and walk up and down stairs for the duration of each shift.

FOOD RUNNER | Bartender  [ $21 to $23 per hour (includes flex tips) ]

The South Store Café, a breakfast and lunch eatery and bakery located in Oregon's wine-country in a 115-year-old historic general store, is looking to hire a part time bartender/food runner for approximately 15-20 hours per week. 

Job Description

Requirements: 

• The ideal applicant will have a passion for good food, bartending and food handling experience. Must be available to consistently work on Saturdays and Sundays. 
• Candidates should have reliable transportation to café. 
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and work with a sense of urgency.
• Have an open and  flexible schedule. 
• Must have or obtain a Food Handler Permit and OLCC certification. 

Responsibilities: 

• Responds to the calls when food is ready and delivers food and drinks to guests.
• Make sure the cafe-work areas are organized and stocked. 
• Ensure customers are happy with their experience. 
• Learn and be able to make all of the cocktail recipes and prep items. 
• Uphold the cafes’ sanitation standards. 
• Obtain complete menu knowledge through training and study.
• Use a Point-of-Sale system to properly process orders. 
• Closing and cleaning the dining room and bathroom areas.
• Communicate well with co-workers and managers. 

Kitchen Assistant | Sandwich Maker  [ $21 to $23 per hour (includes flex tips) ]

• Help in making sure the kitchen is stocked, organized, and running smoothly. 
• Learn and be able to make all of the sandwich recipes and prep items. 
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients 
• Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests  
• Uphold the cafes sanitation standards.  
• Communicate well with co-workers and managers.  

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, commercial kitchen, or other related fields 
• Passion for food and cooking techniques 
• Strong leadership qualities 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
• Must be available to consistently work on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
